I needed a hotel right on Vasilievsky Island, to get easier to LenExpo Trade Mart. Rinaldi Hotel on Bolshoy was a good choice for both reasons: the price (it was under 150 USD) and location. The room had everything I needed - bathroom, TV and phone. The hotel is small in a historical building. I liked my stay there :)

The hotel takes one floor of the building, my room was pretty cosy. Clean room with TV and shower, friendly staff. If you are searching for cheap accommodation - that's what you need.

The apartment of the same category in Moscow was twice more expensive than Rinaldi in St. Petersburg.  I've used the Season Discount Rate that lasted till the end of March and payed only 50 USD for night. As for location - it's rather good, 15 minutes to Nevsky Prospect, if there is no much traffic.
